The 2026 Love Our Schools Home Giveaway is now CLOSED. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all who supported by purchasing a ticket. The winner will be announced on October 1, 2026 during the 5pm news on KATC TV3. Tune in to watch us pull the winning ticket!

The home will be a 2,039 square-foot, one-story residence with 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, built by Manuel Builders on a lot donated by RJD Community Developers. This uniquely designed Craftsman-style home blends timeless charm with modern functionality.

Inside, an open-concept kitchen and living area creates a natural gathering space, anchored by a spacious kitchen featuring a large walk-in pantry with a dedicated coffee bar. The living area flows seamlessly to the covered back patio, complete with a built-in grill area, extending your living space outdoors.

The home includes a private, cozy study, ideal for working from home or quiet reflection, along with two guest bedrooms connected by a Jack-and-Jill bathroom, offering convenience and privacy for family or visitors. A powder room adds functionality for guests.

The primary suite features a spacious bedroom and a well-appointed en-suite bathroom.

Thank you for supporting the Love Our Schools Home Giveaway Raffle (the “Raffle”), conducted for the benefit of Love our Schools. The purchase of and/or the entry of your name on one or more Love Our Schools Home Giveaway raffle ticket(s) signifies your full and unconditional agreement to the following Terms & Conditions:

General

In the event of any dispute, a reasonable interpretation or determination by Love our Schools regarding the application of these Terms & Conditions is final and binding in all matters related to the Raffle.

VOID WHERE PROHIBITED BY LAW AND OUTSIDE THE UNITED STATES. Subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and ordinances. Tickets may sell out before the date of the raffle drawing. The chances of winning are based on the number of tickets sold. If fewer tickets are sold, the chances of winning the Grand Prize and other prizes improve.

Sponsor: Love Our Schools, 1035 Camellia Blvd, Suite 100 (Lafayette, LA 70503), (all of the foregoing are collectively referred to as “Sponsor Associates”).

Media Provider: Gray Local Media. d/b/a KATC-TV, KADN-TV, KLAF-TV

Eligibility

The name of an eligible entrant must be entered on the purchased ticket at the time of purchase. To be eligible to enter, you must be at least 18 years old or the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence, whichever is older as of the date of entry, and a living resident of the United States.

The following persons are not eligible to enter: owners, officers and board directors of Sponsor, Love Our Schools, Manuel Builders, Media Provider, and their Immediate Family Members, including the legal spouse/partner of any of the foregoing. “Immediate Family Members” includes the spouse, parents, in-laws, grandparents, brothers, sisters, children, and grandchildren.

The determinations of Sponsor are final and binding with respect to any matter arising out of the interpretation or application of these terms and conditions.

A ticket claimed by an ineligible person is void and cannot be a winning ticket. No refunds will be made to ineligible claimants, except in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion.

Winning a prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein. Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of winner.

Tickets

Tickets may be reserved on www.loveourschoolsfoundation.org, and at participating locations including Pop Up Tents which will be announced. You must provide all required information to be eligible to enter and win. Incomplete, illegible, corrupted, or untimely entries are void and will be disqualified.

Tickets may be reserved for $50 each. Reservations made are limited to a maximum of 200 tickets per transaction.

A ticket represents a chance to win the opportunity to accept an offer of the stated prize. All sales of tickets are final, and no refunds will be issued. Tickets, prizes, receipts, and any winner’s rights are not transferable.

Sponsor reserves the right to reject any ticket reservation request that is submitted with payment that does not constitute “good funds.” A ticket issued in exchange for a check returned for “insufficient funds,” or for a credit card charge that was declined, invalid, stolen, unauthorized, or for which payment is canceled or challenged is void and cannot be a winning ticket.

Ticket purchases are not tax deductible.

All ticket reservations must be received and purchased by the indicated deadlines for the Grand Prize and Early Bird Prizes, respectively. Any requests for reservations of tickets received after these deadlines will be ineligible. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected, or non-delivered mail, email or fax messages, or any other failure to receive orders or deliver receipts prior to the drawing deadlines. All defective or physically altered tickets or entry forms may be disqualified.

Drawing

The winning ticket for each prize will be selected by a random drawing on the respective dates of the raffle drawing set forth below from the tickets properly reserved and paid for by the respective deadlines set forth below. Sponsor will select the name of potential winners of the prizes in a random drawing from all eligible raffle tickets. All tickets have an equal chance to win. Ticket entrants need not be present to win.

Prizes to be awarded are: “Grand Prize”: Love Our Schools Giveaway house located at 301 Porch View Lane, Lafayette, LA 70508 constructed by Manuel Builders (estimated value of $475,000); “Early Bird Prize(s)”: Early Bird Prize 1 is “Free Cane’s for a Year” (FCFAY) which is defined as Three Box Combos to be loaded to the FCFAY Card on the first of each month for 12 months, in addition to the month the Customer received the FCFAY Card (for a total of 13 months). Customers have until the end of each month to redeem the three Box Combos. Box Combos can be redeemed all on one check or on separate visits throughout the month. Any unused Box Combos will expire at the close of business on the last day of each month. Early Bird Prize 2 is $5,000 in cash. Early Bird Prize 3 is a choice of men’s or ladies’ Tag Heuer Watch donated by Lee Michaels Fine Jewelry. All raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for by the Early Bird Prize deadlines shall be eligible to win the Early Bird Prize(s) by which deadline such raffle ticket was timely reserved and the Grand Prize. The tickets for winners of the Early Bird Prizes will be included in the drawing for the Grand Prize.

Only raffle tickets properly reserved before the deadline of September 28, 2026, at 11:59 pm will be entered for a chance to win the Grand Prize. Drawing for the Grand Prize to be held “live” on KATC-TV3 during Media Provider’s 5pm (CST) newscast on October 1, 2026. (Date and time are subject to change.) Drawings for Early Bird Prizes will be performed internally utilizing a random number generator, and winners will be announced on social media (Facebook, Instagram).

For Early Bird Prize 1 (Free year’s worth of Canes as defined herein): only raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for before the deadline of August 17, 2026, at 11:59 pm shall be entered for a chance to win. Drawing for the Early Bird Prize 1 will be on August 19, 2026, at 5:00 pm (date and time are subject to change) and the winner will be announced via social media.

For Early Bird Prize 2 ($5,000 cash): only raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for before the deadline of August 31, 2026, at 11:59 pm shall be entered for a chance to win. Drawing for the Early Bird Prize 2 will be on September 2, 2026, at 5:00 pm (date and time are subject to change) and the winner will be announced via social media. (

For Early Bird Prize 3 (Lee Michaels jewelry as defined herein): only raffle tickets properly reserved and paid for before the deadline of September 14, 2026 at 11:59 pm shall be entered for a chance to win. Drawing for the Early Bird Prize 3 will be on September 16, 2026, at 5:00 pm (date and time are subject to change) and the winner will be announced via social media.

Winners

The odds of winning a prize depends on the number of valid raffle tickets sold. Each valid raffle ticket sold has an equal chance to be selected as a winning ticket. The chances of any individual ticket being a winning ticket are based on the number of tickets sold. If fewer tickets are sold, the chances of winning ticket improve.

Each prize will be awarded to only one (1) winner. If the winning ticket selected for a particular prize has more than one name on it, the prize will be awarded to the eligible individual whose name appears first on the ticket. That individual is solely responsible for allocating the value of the prize among the entrants.

Each winner must accept the prize, “as is” or “as built” without additions or alterations with no expressed or implied warranties by Sponsor.

The winning ticket holder will have thirty (30) days from the date of the announcement of the respective Grand Prize or Early Bird Prize drawing to accept the prize.  In addition, the winning ticket holder of the Grand Prize will have sixty (60) days from the date of the Grand Prize Announcement to either: (a)close on and take possession of the Grand Prize home; or (b) elect to forfeit any right in and/or to and forego any opportunity to assume possession of Grand Prize in exchange for acceptance of the Alternate Prize (as defined below) of $100,000.00 in cash, to be paid to winner within thirty (30) days of winner’s election of same, subject to any required withholding of tax amounts under appliable law.

Any Early Bird Prize or Grand Prize unclaimed after thirty (30) days of the announcement of the respective prize drawing is forfeited and no substitute or alternative prize will be provided. A forfeited prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries or otherwise in accordance with applicable gaming agency regulations.

The winning ticket holder will forfeit the Grand Prize in the event he or she fails to: (a) accept the Grand Prize and/or close on the home or (b) elect to forfeit any right in and/or to and forego any opportunity to assume possession of Grand Prize in exchange for acceptance of the Alternate Prize, within the deadlines specified herein, except as Sponsor may determine in its sole and absolute discretion. In such event, the forfeited Grand Prize may be awarded to an alternate winner selected by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries or otherwise in accordance with applicable gaming agency regulations.

Entry into the raffle and acceptance of a prize constitutes permission for Sponsor and Media Provider to use the winner’s name, picture, video image, and relevant quotes to promote Love our Schools, and agreement by the winner that the prize will not be used for fundraising for another charity.

The winner of each prize shall have no rights in or to the prize itself until the winner has been verified as eligible by Sponsor and until delivery of the prize to the winner has been completed. Until that time, as between the Love Our Schools and the winner, each prize remains the sole property of the Love Our Schools. In the case of a winner accepting a house he/she will take ownership subject to all applicable federal, state, and local land use restrictions, and to any covenants, rules, fees, or other restrictions administered by a homeowners’ or condominium association, or other community.

Verification of Potential Winners: ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY SPONSOR, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE RAFFLE. AN ENTRANT IS NOT A WINNER OF ANY PRIZE UNLESS AND UNTIL ENTRANT’S ELIGIBILITY HAS BEEN VERIFIED AND ENTRANT HAS BEEN NOTIFIED THAT VERIFICATION IS COMPLETE.

Taxes/ Prize Restrictions

Any and all applicable federal, state, and local taxes and all fees and expenses related to acceptance and use of prize not specifically stated herein, including but not limited to, any income taxes attributable to the Alternate Prize, financing charges, change of air travel fees, ground transportation, automobile insurance, meals, incidentals, passenger tariffs or duties, surcharges, service charges or facility charges, personal charges at lodging, security fees and/or other expenses, are the responsibility solely of winner of such prize. Sponsor will not replace any lost or stolen prizes or components of a prize(s). Only the prizes stated in these Official Rules are available to be won in the Raffle. Furniture and Accessories in the Grand Prize home are not included. Payout of an elected Alternate Prize is subject to withholding of taxes to the extent required of Sponsor under appliable law.  Sponsor takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities and winners should consult a tax professional.

With respect to any prize with a value of more than $5,000, the Internal Revenue Service requires Sponsor to withhold federal income tax at the rate of 24%, or current rate as established by the IRS, and the winner must pay the amount of tax to be withheld to Sponsor as a condition of transfer of ownership of the prize. If applicable, Sponsor may be required to withhold state and or federal tax at the current rate as established by the state in which the Raffle occurs and/or the federal government.

 The value of each prize is includible in the winner’s gross income and may be subject to reporting by Sponsor to the Internal Revenue Service. Each winner is solely responsible for payment of all federal, state, and/or local income, sales, or use taxes due on account of his or her acceptance of the prize. If the prize is a house, the winner assumes all fees, local, state, and federal taxes (including but not limited to income taxes based on the value of the house), financing costs (including, but not limited to, closing costs, title insurance, and transfer tax and fees) which must be paid when the house is transferred to the winner. The winner of the Love Our Schools Home Giveaway house agrees that the value of the property reported by Sponsor for income tax and other purposes will be based on the written appraisal obtained by Sponsor from a licensed appraiser. The winner in the Love our Schools Home Giveaway is responsible for payment of income, sales, use or other applicable taxes, titling, registration, and licensing fees. Sponsor takes no responsibility for any tax liabilities. Winners should consult a tax professional.

Any Early Bird Prizes cannot be substituted, assigned, transferred, or redeemed for cash. The “Grand Prize” can be forfeited in exchange for an “Alternate Prize” of $100,000.00 cash option wherein winner forfeits any right in and/or to and foregoes opportunity to assume possession of Grand Prize and accepts a $100,000.00 payout as substitute; in this instance, Love Our Schools retains ownership and possession of Grand Prize.

Release and Limitation of Liability

Each winner hereby releases and holds Sponsor, Media Provider, and all Sponsor Associates harmless with respect to any claim based on any such occurrence. A raffle entrant’s sole and exclusive remedy for any breach of duty or conduct related to the Raffle shall be limited to the return of the purchase price paid for his or her raffle tickets. In no event shall Sponsor or Media Provider be liable to any person for any loss or injuries to earnings, profits or goodwill, or for any direct, incidental, special, punitive or, consequential, or other damages of any person or entity whether arising in contract, tort or otherwise, arising out of the Giveaway, use or ownership of the prizes.

Additional Conditions

If the Raffle is not capable of running as planned for any reason, including but not limited to infection by computer virus or bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, natural disasters, global heath crises or any other causes beyond the control of Sponsor, corruption or alteration of the operation, administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this Raffle (“an impairment”), Sponsor may, in its sole and exclusive discretion, void any entries suspected of causing such impairment and/or (a) cancel or terminate the Raffle (or any portion thereof); (b) modify the Raffle or suspend the Raffle to address the impairment and then resume the Raffle in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; and/or (c) award the prize from among the eligible, non-suspect entries received up to the time of impairment, and/or all eligible non-suspect entries received after the time of impairment.
